It's been months since I've written anything new, which has been killing me slowly. But today, with a little inspiration from my fav band, Mudvayne, I wrote this poem. It's not my best but it felt damn good to write again. So, without further ado, here it is:
Confessions rejected
Words unspoken
Hidden deep inside
Shame and ignominy
The legacy of the lost
Denied rest, peace
No water can wash me clean
Eternal hell haunts,
No forgiveness found
Lost to the darkness
Fall into torment
Misery, anguish
Nightmare inescapable
Death looms near
Hungry eyes devour
All that once was
What dreams may have come
No hope, no clemency
Compassion or mercy
Naught but everlasting torment
A soul lost to oblivion.
