Good Morning Sunshine!

It took me a few days to finish this poem, but I finally did it. It was inspired by Three Word Wednesday:

figure, juicy, stress

She is a stunning figure
standing boldly in the predawn gloom
as the sun lazily peeks
one eye over the horizon
not quite ready
for the cock's crow.

Arms raised to the sky
legs spread, bare feet
planted in the juicy, dew-kissed grass
she eagerly awaits
the dawning of a new day.

All cares set aside
stresses and woes
disdained, all attention focused
on this miracle in motion.

With gradual grandeur
pink, red and purple
streak across the morning sky.
Lightening, brightening

the sun slowly emerges
reluctantly rising from his cozy bed
finally bursting forth
in all his glorious splendor
caressing her with his radiant rays.

  2. She greeted the dawn without worries, and the sun showered his freshness upon here.
The wait and the color of the skies described, I could imagine along.

    Very nice lines.
