Before I get to my post, I must apologize for not answering comments yet from my last post and returning the visits of all who stopped by my humble little blog. Hopefully I'll be able to get to that today or tomorrow. Life, in all its craziness, has taken its toll on me.
This poem was inspired by this week's Three Word Wednesday. The words were:
breeze, mellow, tickle
Soft breeze gently kisses my cheeks
grass tickles between bare toes.
Vibrantly blooming flowers
a riot of color in the garden.
Mellow clouds meander across
stunning azure sky.
Eager sun smiles upon me
brightens my weary soul.
Turmoil within slows
its tumultuous tumbling.
The world with its stresses
trials, tribulations and suffering
fades softly away
as the birds serenade the bees
while the trees rustle their leaves and
my heart bursts with new-found joy.
